If you're putting together a distributed audio system, don't settle for a conventional stereo amplifier that might not meet your needs. Instead, rely on the Adcom GFA-6002. It's a power amp that has been specially designed for distributed audio installations by one of the most trusted names in hi-fi.
The Sound Will Wow You
The sound quality of the Adcom GFA-6002 will wow you. Its power output of 70 watts-per-channel gives you plenty of muscle for filling your home with beautiful music. The bridged output mode gives you the option of running the Adcom in mono mode at an impressive 175 watts at 8 ohms.
The front-end circuitry of each channel is supplied power by its own high voltage system. A typically advanced Adcom power supply with large toroidal transformers is exceptionally quiet while delivering the high current that complex soundtracks require for full resolution.
Dual pairs of output transistors and highest quality FR4 fiberglass circuit boards contribute to the channel separation, low levels of crosstalk, and overall performance. Ultra-efficient heat sinks plus thermal protection circuitry add to the reliability of this superbly made amp.
Very Simple Gain Path
The very simple gain path of the GFA-6002 has been configured for very low amounts of feedback. This contributes to the warm and musical quality of the sound and the high stability of the amplifier with a wide variety of loads. Reducing the number of components and stages the signal travels through reduces the potential for distortion and fidelity loss.
System Integration Features
The GFA-6002 integrates beautifully with your other gear. A 12-volt on / off trigger allows the amp to power up in response to another component with a 12-volt trigger. Or for even more flexibility the Adcom can be set-up to automatically power up when it detects an audio signal from an A/V component.
Because the Adcom is stable into 2 ohm loads, you can use it with confidence with various remote speaker configurations. The input level adjust helps you to tweak the amplitude of the incoming audio, which is an especially helpful feature if you are using the Adcom with other power amplifiers as part of a multi-channel system.
Other features include a ground lift switch for helping to defeat ground loop system problems plus high-quality speaker binding posts. The compact height of the GFA-6002 makes it easy to tuck away.
